Light Switch Tutorial

This tutorial focuses on driven ipo curves, or using an object in your scene to control another object's behavior. The application of this method of animation can be used in many instances, such as wheels turning on a vehicle, or an automatic door being opened in a grocery store.
We will be using an example of a light switch object turning a lamp on and off. In this tutorial we will be learning how to:
  • Model a switch with a switch plate
  • Add keyframes for energy levels on the lamp object
  • Control the ipo curve channel using another object's orientation channel
This tutorial is intended for intermediate Blender users. I hope this information is useful to you. Have fun. Show me some examples where you've used this idea. I'd really like to see them. Thanks for watching.
